Social media users circulated pictures of Salah sitting next to his colleague Dominik Soboslai, and enjoying eating pineapple, before his team suffered a heavy defeat by three clean goals on the field.

Website users reacted widely to Salah’s appearance in this way while the team was behind in the score.

One commentator wrote: “Liverpool trails Crystal Palace by two unanswered goals… Meanwhile, Salah is (enjoying pineapple).”

“Pineapple is definitely the highlight of the night,” another commenter wrote.

A third user posted pictures of Salah eating pineapple and wrote: “The language of sports analysis is not enough to express Liverpool’s disappointment and Arnie Sloat’s bitterness, but does Mohamed Salah seem happy with Liverpool’s defeat against Crystal Palace?”

Liverpool’s heavy defeat comes after an increasing attack from some Liverpool fans, who accused Salah of a decline in his level, which directly affected the team’s results.

A number of key players were absent from Liverpool’s match against Crystal Palace, most notably Virgil van Dijk, Ibrahima Konate, Soboslai, Florian Wirtz, and Alexander Isak.

Liverpool continues its decline under Slot, as it has suffered five defeats in its last six matches in all competitions, including surprising losses in the league and Champions League.
