Two people were found dead at Rob Reiner’s Los Angeles mansion, and it has since been confirmed that they are the filmmaker and his wife, Michele Singer Reiner.
On Sunday, Dec. 14, the Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD) was called to the home at around 3:30 p.m. local time to provide medical aid, and upon arrival, they found a man and a woman dead, the LAFD confirmed to PEOPLE.
Rob and Michele were found dead by apparent homicide inside their home, TMZ reported. According to the outlet, they suffered wounds consistent with a knife attack.
Authorities are continuing to investigate the ongoing situation.
The LAPD did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment on Dec. 14, nor did a representative for Rob.

He was previously married to the late Penny Marshallwho died in 2018 at age 75 of complications from diabetes. They divorced after a decade of marriage, and Rob adopted Marshall’s daughter, Tracy Reiner, from the beloved sitcom and screen actress’ marriage to Michael Henry.
