Known for his charm, chiseled jawline and flawless skin, Andrew Walker looks like the outdoorsy guy that’ll make a woman leave her job in the big city and return to her small hometown after rediscovering the magic of Christmas — because he’s done it several times in his movies for Hallmark Channel. So how does that guy relax and unwind?

With cold plunges, a skincare routine, Christmas carols and tequila, of course!

The actor, who launched a skincare line called SkinMason in 2024, was recovering from a challenging travel day as he spoke with PEOPLE ahead of the Dec. 6 premiere of his latest movie,She’s Making a Listcostarring Lacey Chabert. And he admits that when things got frustrating at the airport, he put on his headphones and pressed play on some holiday tunes.

“I listen to the Christmas music that appeals to me like Tony Bennett, Frank Sinatra, the Michael Buble album,” he says. “I love the jazz crooner-type music. It fully relaxes me and zens me out.”

After a day like that, he also puts on SkinMason’s new Eye Cream. “It tightens up your eyes, and it feels very cooling as well,” he says.

Below, Walker, 46, shares his full skincare and self-care routine — as well as his do’s and don’ts — that help him have that Hallmark leading man glow.

PEOPLE: What is your typical morning skincare regimen?

ANDREW WALKER:The SkinMason serum (which features brightening vitamin C, hyaluronic acid and the antioxidant Glutathione) is all I do in the morning. I just put the serum on my face and go about my day.

And at night?

If I have glam, like on the cruise, or makeup on my face or I’m sweating a lot, I’ll use the exfoliating pad to really do a deep exfoliation, and then I’ll do serum again and moisturizer and then my eye cream. It only takes like a minute in total, That’s what I love about it. Sometimes I’ll use the new foaming cleanser which takes a little bit longer. That’s my wife Cassandra’s nighttime regimen too.

So you’re only doing moisturizer once a day?

Yes, because the SkinMason moisturizer has a slow-release retinol. A lot of retinol products are faster-release because want people to see the results very quickly, but it affects a lot of people’s skin.

What about SPF?

You don’t want to be in the sun with retinol, so I usually put the serum on, which has a natural UV protection to it. And then, if I’m in California or if I’m skiing or whatever, I always put a sunscreen on.

How did you decide which products you wanted to create?

For selfish reasons, honestly. I told my partner, Dr. Hussein Kanji, who’s a heart and lung surgeon, “I want something that’s simple and effective, and that’s it. Something that’s very easy to use and quick.” I don’t like washing my face, so that’s why we decided to do the pads first and created these triacid — which is a hyaluronic acid, silocylic and furolic acid — pad. And we have a peptide in there that’s our own proprietary peptide that basically eliminates the bacteria that forms acne.

Do your Hallmark pals use SkinMason too?

Kimberley Sustad uses the pads. She says she likes something that feels like a deep clean. And then there are some people, like Benjamin Ayers, who are like, “I don’t love the pads. I like something a little bit gentle,” so he’s using the new foaming cleanser now. People are giving the pads to their teenagers: Nikki DeLoach’s son Hudson uses them.

What are your skincare do’s and don’ts?

Look, I think good skin comes from the inside out, soDOstay hydrated.DON’Toverdo skincare andDON’Tget too complicated with it. That’s why we don’t have a seven-step routine, we have a three — now a four with our eye cream —step routine.DOuse a good clean SPF, even on a cloudy day.DOlook up the ingredients to know how clean a product is. Aside from skincare, what’s in your daily self-care routine to give you that leading man energy?

My daily routine is pretty crazy. I wake up in the morning and I fill the bathtub up with cold water and I do a cold plunge. And then I do this eight-minute jumping and arm movement swings. Then Cassandra and I do our coffee with breakfast or whatever. Then I go to the gym; today was a leg day, so a lot of squats, lunges, walking lunges, leg extension, hamstring curls and Romanian deadlifts for 45 minutes. I used to go to the gym for two hours a day. Now I go to the gym or I’m at the house here with free weights for 30 to 45 minutes max. And then I stretch for a good 15 to 20 minutes.

But you also just launched a tequila.

Gotta balance it all out.

I’ve partnered with this tequila brand called WOOL. I drink mainly Anejo, and I love an aged tequila that is not too sweet. This one has nice vanilla notes to it. They do a single-distilled tequila. They asked me if I wanted to be on their holiday bottles, and I was like, “Yeah, let’s do it. This is what I drink anyway.” It’s a limited run, there’s only a few hundred bottles that are being made. The bottle has these patches you can take off, which is really cool. The Christmas patch you can take off and you can stick it in other places and put it somewhere. So someone can drink the bottle and then just take the patch and have it as a little memento.
