The Boox Go 10.3 Transformed How I Work, And Now You Can Buy One For (a Little) Less

I couldn’t tell you why, but Onyx devices seemingly never go on sale. I keep waiting for my favorites to drop in price so I can tell everyone, but I’m constantly disappointed. I love myBoox Go 10.3E Ink tablet. It’s transformed the way I work, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for an Android E Ink device.

It’s not much of a deal, but the Go 10.3 has finally gone on sale.

For Black Friday weekend, you can save $20 on the Go 10.3. It brings the price sub-$400, and anything off is better than nothing. If you’ve been wanting to buy one anyway, I’m not saying this would be enough to get you off the fence, but it would be convenient timing to at least save something.

Why I love the Onyx Boox Go 10.3

A gorgeous display and solid native apps

I was initially disappointed when I learned that the Go 10.3 didn’t have a front light. I thought it would limit my usage and that I wouldn’t enjoy it as much as I do theNote Air4 Cor other Onyx products.

It turned out that couldn’t be further from the truth. Its 10.3-inch HD Carta 1200 display is the best E Ink panel I’ve ever used.

I’m able to see the display even in indoor ambient lighting, and I never have to strain my eyes. Text and content look sharp on the Go 10.3, thanks to its 2480×1860 resolution and 300 ppi.

However, I don’t just consume content on my Boox Go 10.3 — it’s fantastic for taking notes and keeping my schedule. It has a capacitive layer on the display and a Boox stylus touch layer with 4,096 levels of pressure sensitivity. There’s almost no input delay, and combined with the sharp E Ink display, it looks and feels like I’m actually writing on the glass.

The Boox Go 10.3 also runs full Android, so you can download various programs for content and productivity. It’s not a powerhouse, and there are obvious limitations to an E Ink display, but as long as you keep that in mind, you won’t be disappointed.

As you’d expect from anE Ink deviceI get excellent battery life from the Go 10.3. Depending on which Android apps you use, you won’t have to think about charging your tablet for upwards of a week, and there is minimal standby drain. It’s not the most exciting discount in the world, but it’s something — especially if you were thinking of picking up a Boox Go 10.3 anyway.
