Nicola Peltz Beckham’s parents, billionaires Nelson and Claudia Peltzhave been issued a daily fine of $250 for building a padel court at their sprawling Florida estate.

According to the Palm Beach Code Enforcement Board, board members made the unanimous decision in a November meeting to impose a daily running fine of $250 after the couple built the court without the required permits.

The billionaire investor and the former model were approved for a “slab-only” concrete block that they later turned into a padel court “without permission,” per the board.

They had been given until Oct. 30 to meet the town’s regulations, but did not do so, according to the meeting notes.

A spokesperson for Nelson shared in a statement with PEOPLE, “The second approval was unfortunately overlooked and is being addressed to bring into compliance.”

To be in compliance, the Peltzes need to either get the proper permission for the court through a “special exception” or demolish it.

As of Tuesday, Nov. 25, the fine stood at $6,750, per town records reviewed byThe Palm Beach Post.

Nelson co-founded investment firm Trian Fund Management in 2005, and previously held seats on the board of directors of H.J. Heinz Company, Wendy’s Company and Mondelēz International, Inc., per Sysco.

PerThe Palm Beach Postthe couple’s sprawling estate, nicknamed Montsorrel, was the destination for Nicola’s highly-publicized wedding to husband Brooklyn Peltz Beckham in April 2022.

At the time, a source told PEOPLE the couple had a traditional Jewish ceremony with nearly 600 guests in attendance. The pair said their vows in front of their friends, family and a rabbi at the ceremony, according to the insider. Orchids hung from the ceiling for the chuppah while the “short but sweet” ceremony included an elevated runway with water and floating flowers on each side.

The 20,000-square-foot Montsorrel estate boasts 27 bedrooms and a private beach, all spread out across 13 acres of land, according toArchitectural Digest.
